Nursing Faculty Tuition Reimbursement Program
The State of South Carolina will make $10 million in tuition reimbursement available to graduate-level nursing students to support the recruitment and retention of nursing faculty ab public colleges and universities across the state.
The South Carolina Commission on Higher Education (CHE) and the South Carolina Student Loan Corporation (SCSLC) have partnered to administer this funding through the BOLD (Better Outcomes, Less Debt) Nursing Faculty Program. This program reimburses tuition for graduate-level nurse educator programs in exchange for graduates assuming a faculty role in a public nursing education program after graduation, for a minimum of two years for each year they receive financial support.
Program Details:
- Full program details and sign-up information is available at: https://www.scstudentloan.org/career-pathways/bold-nursing-faculty-program

- Any amount borrowed may not exceed the cost of attendance.
- Participants must agree to serve two years as a nursing faculty (either full- or part-time) within the state for each year of reimbursement they plan to receive (loans are placed in forbearance during the employment period).
