Therapeutic Horsemanship Minor

To obtain a minor in Therapeutic Horsemanship, students must complete between 19 to 20 hours of credit in courses from two disciplines in the following distribution:

  • EXSC 199: Adult CPR and First Aid (or evidence of certification)
  • EXSC 210: Human Anatomy/Movement
  • SPED 150: Basics of Therapeutic Horsemanship
  • SPED 223: PreK-12 Students with Diverse Leaning Needs
       or PETE 420: Exceptional Physical Education for Special Populations
  • SPED 250: Principles of Therapeutic Horsemanship
  • SPED 260: Therapeutic Horse Movement
  • SPED 270: Therapeutic Horsemanship Program
