If you’re looking for a degree in visual art, it’s because you have a talent for creating. You’re able to solve problems quickly because you think beyond boundaries. You’re more observant than your friends, examining and reflecting on your surroundings closely and carefully. These are skills we value in Lander’s Department of Art, and are also skills highly sought after in today’s workplace.
At Lander, we’ll provide you the space to refine your craft. Our professors are experienced and practicing artists, with artwork regularly featured in exhibits, galleries and publications. They will closely mentor you as you create your own original artwork. You’ll also take courses in a wide variety of media and disciplines, including painting, photography, ceramics, sculpture and design. At graduation, you’ll leave as a professional artist, ready for your future career or for an advanced degree in visual art.
