Getting Involved
The Physical Education and Exercise Science (PEES) Club offers all majors opportunities to participate in service projects including the Bearcat Breakout 5k and 1k, the Greenwood Miracle League, Activate Greenwood, Special Olympics and Senior Olympics. Students also have opportunities to hear professionals in respective fields and to collaborate with professors on research projects conducted at Lander and other institutions.

Awards are granted annually to outstanding university students from all disciplines during a ceremony each spring.
Excellence in Exercise Science Award
Given annually by the physical education and exercise science faculty to the graduating senior majoring in exercise science who best exemplifies academic achievement, moral character, leadership, and service activities for the department.
A Lander University student has been named the recipient of the Southern Tier Region Outstanding Future Professional Award from the National Association of Health and Physical Literacy (NAHPL).
The Lander University Exercise Science program has earned its initial accreditation through the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP).
