SOCI 398 - Methods of Social Research
This course is an introduction to the logic and conduct of social research, relationships between theory and empirical evidence, formulation of hypotheses, conduct and analysis of field research, research design, and techniques for data collection and analysis. Prerequisites: SOCI 101 with a "C" or better; MATH 211 with a "C" or better; and nine additional hours of CRIM, CJ, HUS, or SOCI coursework with a "C" or better. Students must also have a Lander GPA of at least 2.0.
