HCMT 411 - Qual Improv & Quant Technique
This course includes an examination of systems that measure and maintain quality in organizations. It also examines the basic principles and techniques of quality management, as well as methods of measuring, assessing, and improving products and services, such as the Deming and Donabedian approaches, Continuous Quality Improvement, and Total Quality Management. This course will provide an overview of the current quality of care in the health care industry and other industries in the United States and other nations, including common challenges. Additionally, there is an introduction to the science of improvement, with the theories and tools commonly used to change systems. Prerequisite: MGMT 301. Three credit hours.
