SOCI 301 - Race and Ethnic Relations |
This course examines the nature of racially and ethically defined intergroup relations in a variety of cultural contexts. Of particular concern are the ways in which race and ethnicity shape stratification systems, and the ways in which race and ethnicity shape individual and group identity. The course examines both historical and cultural variations in prejudice and discrimination. Prerequisite: Junior/Senior status only. (General Education - Global Issues and Cultures and General Education Electives) Three semester hours.
