BIOL 430 - Medical Technoloogy Internship |
Internship for a minimum of twelve months under the direction of hospital staff. Coursework will generally include 10 hours clinical chemistry, 4 hours blood banking, 5 hours hematology & hemostasis, 3 hours immunology, 8 hours clinical microbiology, 2 hours urinalysis, and 2 hours special topics in medical technology. The Professional Concerns general education requirement is an integral component of special topics in medical technology. Must have hospital accreditation by NAACLS. Fifteen semester hours. Prequisites: Required courses (see Student Program Worksheet) and hospital accreditation by NAACLS. These courses are not sequential. Fifteen semester hours per course.
