SOCI 321 - Health and Society |
This class is organized around holistic exploration of ways in which health, illness, and medical practices are socially patterned across diverse human cultures. A focus will be how processes adn structures wihtin economic systems (including poverty, political violence, and toxic waste disposal) impact well-being. Cross-listed with ANTH 321. Prerequisites: Grade of 'C' or better in ANTH 103, 104, or SOCI 101 and sophomore/junior/senior status recommended. Three semester hours.
