Theoretical background concerning reading disability, diagnostic instruments, and prescriptive approaches necessary for developing reading skills for the elementary and secondary school student. Practical experience with various materials required. Prerequisite: EDUC 321 or permission of instructor, formal admission to Teacher Education Program. Three semester hours.
