Logical basis of computer structure. Levels of abstraction. Microprogramming. Number representation. Machine and assembly language, including instruction types, addressing, flow of control. Memory management, installation, configuration, and I/O. Prerequisite: CIS 230 witha grade of "C" or better. Three semester hours.
